A calling from the most important comic company

After developing two audiovisual app projects for MSP (Maurício de Sousa Produções), owner of Brazil's most famous comics, we were invited to revamp the Monicaverso app (formerly Banca da Mônica): a super app that englobes all types of content including comics, videos, games, new and classic intellectual properties.

In partnership with MSP’s Digital Content team, we proposed a new concept for the existing product inspired by the streaming platforms apps, as the screen flow is very similar to the way we imagined about showing content, considering previously defined customer scenarios.

The UI should have dark mode look’n’feel to emphasize what matters most: the content.

We inherited many challenges from the old project, such as a very low average rating that would be difficult to reverse. However, the app showed significant improvement in numbers in the first quarter after our initial release:

Currently, given the persistently high churn rate, we are focusing on improving communication about the app's content through onboarding, offer screen, content personalization and push notifications, a/b testing it. We are also continuously enhancing existing features based on user feedback in app store reviews.

Soon we'll be doing research with the audience, too.
